The Women's Judo 70kg final of the 14th National Games was held on September 17. Sun Anqi, a Zhongshan athlete, competed on behalf of the Team Guangdong and won a silver medal after she was defeated by Liu Hongyan from Shandong.

This was the second time the 25-year-old has participated in the National Games. Sun Anqi is the highest achieving member of the Zhongshan women's judo team in the National Games since its establishment in 1991.

"Before the National Games, Sun just finished her national team training. She said that she wants to keep on fighting and work hard to make it to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games 3 years later," said Zhu Rongqin, Sun Anqi's first coach, also the head coach of the Zhongshan women's judo team.
