The Individual Equestrian Jumping Final of the 14th National Games concluded on September 25. Liang Ruiji, a famous equestrian star from Zhongshan won the championship with his horse "Luna" and claimed his 5th gold medal in National Games equestrian event. Equestrians from Zhejiang took second and third place.

Earlier, in team and individual Equestrian Eventing finals, the Guangdong team led by Liang Ruiji won the bronze medal. Liang also won the silver medal in the individual event.

At the Tokyo Olympics this year, Liang Ruiji qualified for the competition but missed his chance to compete due to some health concerns with his horse. "The gold medal of the National Games is compensation for me," said Liang Ruiji in an interview.
