Good news came from the construction site of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge at Lingdingyang waters on October 17. After 27 hours of continuous operation, the E13 pipe section of the immersed tunnel was installed and connected with other sections on October 16.

The E13 pipe section is 165 meters long, 46 meters wide, 10.6 meters high, and weighs about 80,000 tons.

So far, 15 pipe sections have been installed, with a total length of 2,351.5 meters.

At present, the construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is making steady progress. As for the construction of the bridge, the pile foundation and pile cap of the main bridge have been completed, and the Lingdingyang Bridge has begun construction on its superstructure. In terms of the island-tunnel project, the construction of the East and West Artificial Islands are still in progress.
