The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, together with the National Development and Reform Commission, recently released the list of the third national key rural tourism villages and the first national key rural tourism townships. Zuobu Village in Zhongshan's Nanlang Sub-district made the list of national key rural tourism villages.

Zuobu Village covers a total area of 5.77 square kilometers and has a population of about 1,200. Walking in the alleys in the Village, century-old watchtowers, ancestral halls, ancient streets and temple lanes and other buildings featuring late Qing Dynasty characteristics can be seen. The village has 12 historical and cultural relics that are listed as Municipal Protected Historic Sites and Immovable Cultural Relics.

Zuobu Village is not only the ancestral home of Sun Yat-sen, but also the hometown of movie star Ruan Lingyu, cartoonist Fang Cheng, revolutionist Ou Chu, founder of the first national capital enterprise Fang Juzan, and director of the Canton-Hankow Railway Ou Gengxiang. The ancestral halls in the village are well-protected. The Zuobu Culture and History Exhibition Hall, one of the main scenic spots along Zhongshan's revolutionary tourist routes, attracts over 300,000 visitors every year.
