Proactive reporting needed for returnees from these places

On October 15, in the Urumqi Economic & Technological Development Zone, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a freight yard employee was reported positive as an asymptomatic COVID-19 infected case in a daily nucleic acid test.

On October 18, Changsha County in Hunan, Lanzhou City in Gansu and Zunyi City in Guizhou reported confirmed COVID-19 cases among returnees from Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia. Five cases were confirmed positive in the testing for key personnel in Ejina Banner. At the same time, two cases who were positive in the first round of nucleic acid testing are under re-check, and the area has been under closed-off management since October 18.

To strengthen epidemic prevention and control in Zhongshan, Zhongshan Center for Disease Control and Prevention hereby issues the following notice:

Those who have been to the Urumqi Economic & Technological Development Zone, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region since October 8, and those who have been to Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia and Jiayuguan, Jiuquan and Zhangye of Gansu province and other related cities since October 2, should take the initiative to report relevant information to your communities and employers. Citizens should report the travel history through "粤省事 (Yue Sheng Shi)" applet (above related places is referred to as medium risk areas), cooperate with health management and strengthen self-health monitoring.

Citizens should adhere to regular prevention and control measures such as scanning health codes, measuring body temperature and wearing masks and are encouraged to practice hygienic habits such as washing hands frequently, indoor ventilation, fewer gatherings, social distancing, and cooperate with the government in implementing management measures.

Important notice from Guangdong CDC

Given the resurgence of new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, on October 19, Guangdong CDC issued a notice, suggesting residents who have come to Guangdong from out of the province since the National Day holiday to take a nucleic acid test within 48 hours.
