Zhongshan is one of the main export hubs of cosmetics in China. It was awarded the title of "China's Cosmetics Capital" in 2008. In the first quarter of this year, Zhongshan's export value of cosmetics reached 420 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 43.3%.

In the workshop of Fulin Cosmetics, a company located in Dongsheng, Xiaolan Town, batches of lipsticks and liquid foundation are rolling off the production line and ready to be shipped overseas.

Fulin Cosmetics is a large exporter mainly of lipsticks, eye shadows and liquid foundation. Founded in 2006, the company's total export value surpassed 100 million yuan in just three years, and its products are widely sold to European and American markets.

"Our company has a strong momentum of development, with the exports up 40% last year to 600 million yuan. This year, we anticipate a 30% sales growth," said Zhang Mingxing, manager of Fulin Cosmetics.

In 2023, Zhongshan exported 1.73 billion yuan worth of makeup cosmetics and wash supplies, achieving a remarkable year-on-year increase of 27.1%. These products sell well in 94 countries and regions worldwide.
