The new Guangming Market, settled in the Zhongshan Produce Trading Center, was unveiled on July 28. Since then, the Zhongshan Produce Trading Center has become the largest distribution center of aquatic products and wholesale market of vegetables and fruits in Zhongshan.

Around 3am of that day, the new Guangming Market had its first trading peak, with shuttling trucks of all sizes, and merchants and purchasers loading and unloading the goods. "The environment here is better than the former Guangming Market," said Huang Yongshan, who started his business in the former Guangming Market in 1989 and felt very satisfied with the new one. "The new market enjoys convenient logistics," he added.

The new market was settled in Phase 2 and 3 of the Zhongshan Produce Trading Center, covering Building E, J, M, and L, two trading greenhouses, one commercial building and a refrigerated warehouse. It is managed and run according to different business types.

He Zhibin, Deputy General Manager of the Zhongshan Produce Trading Center, said that the new Guangming Market boasts of better facilities, more secure power supply and more space for transactions since aeration and refrigeration equipment are better placed through a clever design.

Now the new Guangming Market has more than 500 stalls with more space. There are over 500 parking spaces set for the new market, creating a more comfortable shopping experience for consumers.
