The Zhongshan Volunteers Association for the Disabled held an unveiling ceremony and established the first lecturers' group for volunteer service for the Disabled a few days ago.

The Association, with more than 50 members now, is trying to recruit new members. Hong Jianming, President of the Association, said the Association will focus on strengthening the training of volunteers for persons with disabilities and upgrading the service skills of Zhongshan's volunteer team for persons with disabilities.

At the unveiling ceremony, the Association also launched the "Clean & Bright Operation", a voluntary service project to help 500 families with disabled persons clean small household appliances free of charge.
