Zhongshan plans to build 51 public transport hubs

Currently, the Zhongshan Bureau of Natural Resources publicized the draft of the "Land Use Plan for Bus Stations in Zhongshan City". The short-term plan will be extend into 2025, and the long-term plan will set goals up until 2035.

According to the plan, Zhongshan will construct 18 parking and maintenance lots for buses with a planned land area of 493,000 square meters and a total of 5,250 bus berths. Zhongshan will construct 51 transport hubs with a land area of 295,500 square meters and 2,411 bus berths.

The key construction projects in the near future include: to start the construction of 5 parking and maintenance lots in Lianyi Village in Tanzhou Town, North Ma'an Island and other places, with a total of 1,645 bus berths; to build 12 hub stations in Qinghua Square and Diyin Lake Small Town, with 673 bus berths; and to build 59 departure and terminal stations in such places as Langjing Garden and Bigang Garden, with a total of 1,152 bus berths.
