Zhongshan plans to build an Olympic and expo center on the west bank of the National Wetland Park in Tsuihang New District.

Zhou Linhua, a member of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, mentioned in a proposal that the Zhongshan Olympic and Expo Center should be included in Tsuihang New District's planning layout. The Center should be built into a large urban complex with sports and expo functions and integrate other functions for culture, commerce, tourism, residence, entertainment, food, leisure, vacation, shopping, etc.

Tsuihang New District recently replied that in the Master Plan on Zhongshan Tsuihang New District (2020-2035), a total of 4 comprehensive stadiums have been included. Among them, an Olympic and expo center has been planned in Yixianwan District on the west side of the National Wetland Park.

As a quality public service facility in Zhongshan, the Olympic and expo center is of great significance to enhance the overall image of public service facilities, improve public services and hold large-scale sports events. It is also important for Zhongshan to cooperate in the economic and sports development of the Greater Bay Area.
