Tencent company signed a cooperation agreement with Zhongshan Torch Zone Hospital on June 26. Both sides will jointly build a “smart hospital”. It is the first time Tencent starts cooperation with township hospital in Zhongshan.

According to Tencent, under the cooperation three new services including “real-name patient certification”, “electronic health card” and “artificial intelligence seeking” can be realized in the Torch Zone Hospital this year. In that case, patients are no longer necessary to bring their ID cards or other materials when going to hospital. Instead, they can easily complete the whole medical procedure through the face recognition system, with improved treatment efficiency.
