The "2018 Big Data Application Demonstration Projects List" was published by Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province a few days ago. A total of 16 projects across the province, including Zhongshan's "Bridge Collision Warning System", were included.

At present, the all-day functional "Bridge Collision Warning System" has been applied to over 20 bridges. When the ships enter the 1,000-2,000 meters range near the bridge, the system will give early warning and send reminding information such as visibility to the ships. When the ships enter the area within 500 meters facing a risk of collision, the system will send out both audio and light alarm.
