The Guangdong Technology Innovation Conference was held at the end of this past March in Guangzhou. The meeting awarded 176 projects and individuals for their contributions last year to technological innovations.

Seven Zhongshan enterprises and institutions, including Palm, Mingyang Smart Energy, Juxiangyuan, Broad-ocean, and Belling Biotechnology, won awards for participating in relevant projects. 

Palm and Mingyang Smart Energy won first prizes, for they had respectively participated in the "Key Technologies Research and Application on Resource Utilization and Industrialization of Guangdong Characteristic Plants" project and the "Key Technologies and Industrial Applications on Design and Manufacture of Large-scale Rubber Seal for High-end Equipment" project.
