Zhongshan Science and Technology Bureau recently announced the work program for The 8th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Guangdong Zhongshan Division) 2019 on its official website. Companies can sign up for the competition through the CIEC website (www.cxcyds.com).

The registration will close on June 10, and the application will end on June 16. The qualification confirmation will be completed by Zhongshan Science and Technology Bureau before June 21.

The Zhongshan Division is a regular section of the CIEC Guangdong Division. It covers registration, qualification confirmation, preliminary contest, quarter-final, provincial final, national final, municipal final, and other parts.

Financial supports including gratuitous subsidies, project support, training and counseling and media publicity will be provided to the winners. 

Specifically, the winners of the first, second and third prizes of the national final will be respectively eligible for at most 2 million yuan, 1 million yuan and 800,000 yuan of gratuitous subsidies. 

In terms of project support, participating organizations will have priority to be recommended to financial institutions, such as science and technology funds and technology banks, to obtain equity investment and scientific loans, which can be up to 20 million yuan with discounted interest. Companies winning the first, second and third prizes above the municipal level can apply for Zhongshan's major special science and technology project, the financial support for which can be up to 1 million yuan each. 

In terms of training and counseling, prize-winning companies can be recommended to the "Zhongshan-Silicon Valley Direct Train - Startup Acceleration Program" to receive training at University of California, Berkeley, USA.

Apart from the above-mentioned support policies from the municipal government, outstanding participating companies can also enjoy the national and provincial support policies related to the competition.
