The renewal of entrepreneurship mentors and a new round of recruitment are currently in progress in Zhongshan. The identified entrepreneurship mentors will provide entrepreneurs with a series of professional services, such as entrepreneurship training, practical training, business management guidance, entrepreneurship project promotion, policy guidance and information consultancy.

According to statistics released by the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, at present, there are 37 entrepreneurship mentors in Zhongshan who is completing their three-year employment on July 15th and need to renew their employment contracts. "A new round of entrepreneurship mentor recruitment will be launched in a bid to continue developing and strengthening the mentors' team," said a staff representative of the ZSHRSSB.

The responsibilities of entrepreneurship mentors also involve promoting entrepreneurship projects, evaluating business sites, guiding the formulation of entrepreneurship project plans, imparting knowledge and solving problems, conducting theme lectures of "Start My Business", and providing follow-up development guidance services to companies.

The city has also made supporting policies, in such form as entrepreneurship subsidies, to encourage entrepreneurship mentors in providing services. Entrepreneurship mentors who provide entrepreneurs with more than one year service will be granted a subsidy of 3,000 yuan for each successful case of support.
