The finalists of the 8th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (CIEC) Guangdong Division and the 7th "Pearl River Angel Cup" Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have been announced. A total of 33 companies in Zhongshan have entered the provincial finals of 3 competition groups.

The finals of electronic information and internet industries will be held in the Guangdong Software Park between August 29 and 30. Between September 2 and 3, the finals for bio-medicine and advanced manufacturing industries will be held in Zhongshan. A total of 58 enterprises, including 5 Zhongshan participants such as Zhongshan Junhou Biology Medicine Co Ltd, have entered the finals. A total of 76 companies entered the finals for the advanced manufacturing industry. These entrants include 8 Zhongshan companies, like Zhongshan Mltor Cloud Intelligent Control Technology Research Institute Co Ltd and Sinoscience Fullcryo (Zhongshan) Low Temperature Equipment Manufacturing Co Ltd.

Between September 8 and 9, the finals for the new materials, new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industries will be held in Qingyuan. A total of 58 enterprises entered the finals for the new materials industry, which include 4 Zhongshan businesses such as Zhongshan Healthlinks Biotechnology Co Ltd. Furthermore, 49 companies have entered the finals for the new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industries. These quality firms include 4 from Zhongshan, such as Zhongshan Yaoli New Energy Technology Co Ltd.
