Zhongshan is located in the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. With the accelerated integrative development of the Pearl River Delta and the deepened cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, Zhongshna is now attracting an increasing number of Hong Kong and Macao youths to start their own businesses and work here.

Caspar Wong from Hong Kong is exactly one of them.

Born in 1991, Caspar graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2014 with a degree in social policy and administration, and began his entrepreneurial career in Hong Kong and Shenzhen in 2016.

At the beginning, Caspar and his team operated an online service platform, which drew attention from Johnny Ng, a member of the national committee of CPPCC and chairman of Goldford Business Inc. At Johnny's invitation, Caspar became a partner of Goldford.

Currently, Caspar Wong also serves in the COO position of the South District Science and Technology Innovation Valley in Zhongshan.

Caspar admits that he didn't get accustomed to working and living in Zhongshan at the very beginning. But as time goes by, he has a more in-depth understanding of the city. "It is very comfortable to live in Zhongshan. People get along well with each other, and the industrial structure of this place is very good."

Caspar believes that Zhongshan has a more suitable environment for business beginner compared with metropolises like Shenzhen. "Zhongshan has good environment and complete social foundation and industrial structure," the post-90s says.

Government departments of Zhongshan have also provided strong support to young people from Hong Kong and Macao in entrepreneurship. Caspar says the South District Office has helped them a lot in the establishment of the Science and Technology Innovation Valley such as providing space. In addition, the South District Office also integrates the newly introduced projects with preferential policies at all levels.

With the efforts of Caspar Wong's team and the assistance of many parties, the South District Science and Technology Innovation Valley was put into operation on September 6, 2019.

The first phase of the Valley covers an area of 2,400 square meters, with 392 office locations, 23 private offices and 1,300 square meters of shared office space. It mainly focuses on incubation and development of industrial design, intelligent manufacturing, cultural creative, big data and other high-tech industries. More than 50 start-up teams were inclined to settle in the Valley before its operation .

In the future, the Valley will also provide assistance in global market expansion to young entrepreneurs in virtue of Hong Kong the international platform.
