Inside the factory of Guanya Lighting situated in Xiaolan Town, workers are methodically busy in the manufacturing shop. On the eve of the National Day, the 280,000 desk lamps produced by the company went abroad to participate in the annual "Black Friday" shopping promotion at Wal-Mart stores in the United States. 

"We sold 98,000 desk lamps in a day last year, and the number could be 200,000 this year," said Chen Shaofan, general manager of Guanya Lighting. "The desk lamps exported grew by nearly 20% in the first 3 quarters of this year", he added.

Guanya was founded in 2002. Since 2010, the company has successively established a provincial engineering technology R&D center and a provincial enterprise technology center, and jointly established the Zhongshan Collaborative Innovation Center (Zhongshan Semiconductor Intelligent Health Lighting Collaborative Innovation Center) with Guangdong University of Technology and South China University of Technology to promote the technical level of enterprises in LED lighting industry. 

Guanya Lighting has established long-term industry-university-research cooperation with Fudan University, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University, Guangdong University of Technology, Guangdong Testing Institute of Product Quality Supervision and other colleges and scientific research institutions. Till now, the company has been granted more than 800 patents, and has become the first enterprise in Zhongshan to obtain the "Intellectual Property Management System Certification". 

In order to adapt to the development of the times, Guanya also vigorously promotes intelligent production. The company has gradually introduced intelligent machinery and equipment in its injection molding workshop, assembly workshop and electronic workshop (SMT). The improved production efficiency has provided a strong guarantee for the promotion of sales. 

After 17 years of development, Guanya Lighting now has more than 40,000 square meters of self-built factories, over 1,000 types of desk lamps. It is capable of producing about 6 million units of products per year.

This May, the "LED Eye-protected Lamp" standard led and developed by Guanya Lighting was approved. At the end of August this year, Guanya Lighting launched two types of desk lamps in accordance with this group standard. "At present, we have led or participated in the formulation of 5 group standards and 7 national standards," said Chen Shaofan.
