The 2019 Guangdong Provincial Conference on Textile Standards and New Materials, New Varieties was held in Shaxi Town on November 26.

The conference issued certificates to the units and individuals who were involved in group standards drafting of the "3D Filament Core Filler" and "Cleaner Production Evaluation Index System for the Denim Clothing Washing Industry" which were organized and completed by the Guangdong Textile Association. The two group standards were officially released at the event.

More than 10 guests shared the development of new textile materials, additives and fabrics at home and abroad.

Zhongshan Zongde Nonwoven Technology Co Ltd is one of the drafting units of the "3D Filament Core Filler" group standard. Its newly developed 3D filament insulation cotton is a core filling material that is widely used in the field of thermal protection products, such as sleeping bags, quilts, snow coats, gloves, and many others.

It is reported that 3D filament core filling material is a good substitute for down fiber thanks to its good heat preservation effect, light weight, and low price. 

New functional textile materials will be one of the hottest items of global manufacturing in the future. New textile fiber material has broken through the traditional textile application field, and has been widely used in such areas as national defense, military industry, aerospace and health care.

It is predicted that the new fiber material industry will grow at a rate of more than 15% every year within the next 20 years.
