On March 15, some 20,000 boxes of dim sum (Cantonese-style pastries) produced by Fengyuanxuan (Youzhi ) Pastry Distribution Co Ltd were supplied to Hong Kong, China after passing inspection and quarantine, making the company another Zhongshan food supplier to Hong Kong.
Barbecued pork buns, cream custard buns, walnut buns, Cantonese sponge cakes, etc are all Cantonese morning tea delicacies, which are favored by Hong Kong people. The opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has brought more convenience to the direct supply of pastries to Hong Kong and Macao.
At the end of 2019, Fengyuanxuan signed an agreement regarding the pastry supply to Hong Kong. However, the outbreak of COVID-19 delayed the delivery period. In mid-March, with the acceleration of resumption of work and production, workers, logistics and raw material supply gradually resumed to normal, and Fengyuanxuan's pastries were finally delivered to Hong Kong.
Li Guosheng, managing director of the company, said that Fengyuanxuan's two production lines have a daily capacity of about 20 tons. "Our supply to Macao is also in progress."
