The Zhongshan Division preliminary contest of the 2020 Maker in Guangdong competition (Maker in China Gunagdong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) was launched at the Small and Medium Enterprises Service Center in Zhongshan's Torch Development Zone on the afternoon of June 30.

Eight start-up enterprises and individual teams from various towns in Zhongshan took part in the competition with projects involving epidemic prevention and control and general health application achievements in such areas as biomedicine, green energy, industrial internet and next-generation information technology.

After 3 hours of project roadshow and Q&A session, 3 teams stood out to be qualified for the semi-finals of the "Maker in Guangdong" competition to be held in Guangzhou in July.
