Founder of Akeso makes Forbes' 'Women in Tech' list

Forbes China recently released the "2020 Women in Tech", with a total of 50 women on the list. Five women from the pharmaceutical industry were selected, and Xia Yu, the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Akeso Biopharma Inc made the list.

Xia Yu has more than 26 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and of academic research in drug development. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Sun Yat-sen University and a PhD of Molecular Biology and Microbiology from Newcastle University. She completed her postdoctoral research at Glasgow University and is the grantee of 16 published patents and pending patent applications.

Akeso is an innovative biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Zhongshan's National Health Technology Park. It was founded in March 2012 by a team of 4 doctors who returned to China from abroad.
