He Zhi, born in 1995, is a native of Xiaolan, Zhongshan. He returned to Xiaolan and opened a fashion shop after finishing his master's degree majoring in public health at the University of Queensland in Australia. In less than a year, he has not only created his own brand, but also plans to open another franchise shop.
The young entrepreneur thinks that youth pop culture is greatly propelling fashion consumption and can improve the rising of Zhongshan. Furthermore, the integration of new ideas and designs with traditional industries' supporting facilities will contribute to a new boom in the traditional manufacturing industry and create more Zhongshan brands.
Located on Zijing Road East in Xiaolan Town, He's shop with black and white decoration sells all kinds of clothes and sneakers. Benefited from surrounding business zones including the Loong Valley and the Daxin Sakura Lane, the shop takes off and soon becomes very popular in the town.
"The shop is more like a communication platform, where you can meet many young people who are interested in pop culture." He and his friends also hold flea markets regularly to sell fashion products.
"Zhongshan's Shaxi Town is home to a large number of supporting clothing industries." In He's point of view, Zhongshan has a solid foundation for the fashion clothing industry. "It is much easier to develop and design a garment in Zhongshan than in any other place."
He also hopes that the government can provide more support for youth entrepreneurs to attract more of them to start business in Zhongshan. In particular, subsidies and practical courses should be provided for entrepreneurs of small and micro businesses.
