Ouyang Jie's schedule is jam-packed in May. She just returned from a visit to Foshan's "industrial reform" project, and now she is busy preparing a meeting on talent and enterprise development that is co-hosted by the Zhongshan Youth Entrepreneurs Association and the Zhongshan Association of Returned Overseas Students.

Ouyang Jie is also a member of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee and chief planner of Zhongshan Herui Planning and Design Management Co Ltd. After completing her undergraduate studies in a foreign university, Ouyang Jie returned to Zhongshan 14 years ago. She quit her job 3 years ago, set up a planning and design company and pursue a master's degree. Recently, she decided to continue her education for a doctoral degree.

Ouyang has also set up social organizations, which bring different public welfare activities to Zhongshan. She has participated in the planning and establishment of social organizations for young people from all walks of life, including the Zhongshan Association of Returned Overseas Students, the Zhongshan Creative Youth Association, and the Zhongshan Youth Entrepreneurship Association. She has also made efforts in the preparation of social organizations for urban construction and development, including the Zhongshan Qicheng Old Building Revitalization Association and the Zhongshan Urban Renewal Association.

In Ouyang Jie's view, Zhongshan possesses unique beauty and cultural charm, as well as bright development prospects. "The motto of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, my alma mater, is 'The motherland is more important than anything, and we should contribute to its development'. This always reminds me that I must take root in Zhongshan to build my hometown and serve our motherland." Ouyang Jie said.
