An all-terrain quadrupedal robot was recently introduced by Zhongshan Jiaming Electric Co Ltd to patrol and inspect power plants, the first domestic intelligent inspection project of the company.

The quadruped robot is called "Robot Dog". With four legs, it can walk like a dog on different terrains.

It is equipped with supporting hardware functions to enable inspection such as machine vision AI analysis, voice capabilities, and on-site sound spectrum analysis.

In addition, it can assist on-site personnel in performing safety inspections and monitoring the implementation of safety measures to further safeguard on-site operators.

The company is using a combination of wheeled, rail-mounted and legged robots, which can be used in variety of working environments.
