Guo Wenhai, secretary of the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, on November 13 visited Torch Development Zone to investigate the development of the ZOS park and the venture enterprises and entrepreneurial teams inside.

Founded in 2004, the ZOS Park is a high tech national pioneer park park for overseas students and a national science and technology business incubator. So far, 344 enterprises and 424 top talent at home and abroad have moved into the park, and a batch of "star enterprises" have been incubated.

Guo Wenhai visited Akeso Biopharma, Inc and Union Optech Co Ltd, two growing companies in the ZOS Park, and communicated with their founders to learn about their entrepreneurial stories and development plans and needs.

Later, Guo Wenhai went to the ZOS Park administration to catch up on its progress and spoke with some entrepreneur representatives. Fifteen highly skilled talent with oversea study experience introduced their entrepreneurial stories, highly appraised Zhongshan's entrepreneurial environment, and expressed their willingness to stay in Zhongshan and contribute to the city's continuous development and growth. They also put forward opinions and suggestions on supporting prospective entrepreneurial talent, optimizing the industrial and supply chain, strengthening financial support for start-ups, creating a favorable business atmosphere, and cultivating more high level talent.

Guo Wenhai stressed the importance of seizing the historical development opportunities brought by the Hengqin and Qianhai Cooperation Zones and the construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, reinforce policy support, strive to build a first-class industrial park for internationally-educated students, foreign graduates and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan youth to start businesses, and promote Zhongshan as an entrepreneurial hub for talent at home and abroad.
