According to a notice from the Guangdong people's government, 10 patents from 10 Zhongshan-based organizations including Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group won national and provincial patent awards.

In recent years, the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation (Intellectual Property Office) has fully utilized the important role of the intellectual property system in supporting scientific and technological innovation and industrial cluster development. New progress has been made in the construction of Guangdong's first "1+1+N" IPR protection system, including the construction of a national IPR protection center and a national IPR rapid protection center (Zhongshan Lighting IPR Rapid Protection Center), as well as a number of municipal IPR rapid protection service centers, trademark brand cultivation and guidance stations, the enterprise-based mobile IPR protection offices and etc.

At the same time, Zhongshan has been actively engaging in building an IPR public service system, setting up service windows for trademark business supported by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and promoting the establishment of trademark cultivation and guidance stations. At present, Zhongshan is the home to 9 national model intellectual property enterprises, 41 outstanding national intellectual property enterprises and 79 provincial model intellectual property enterprises.

From January to August this year, Zhongshan saw 8,745 new granted patents, up 7.27% year-on-year. By the end of the third quarter of 2022, Zhongshan added 28,607 new registered trademarks, and the total number reached 260,410.
