The World among Flowers

On July 25, Hong Wei, a graphic designer in Zhongshan and a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), won the 2023 Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design with four entries: Fortune and Longevity, The World among Flowers, The World of Flowers, and The World through Children's Eyes.

Among his works, The World among Flowers, created for Shaanxi Province Art Museum, is based on a paper-cutting artwork of Ku Shulan, a Chinese folk arts and crafts master in Shaanxi.

Hong was among the designers with most awards this year. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, sent him a congratulatory message.

Originating in Germany, Red Dot is known as one of the world's four major design awards along with Germany's iF Design Award, America's IDEA and Japan's GMARK.
