The Guangdong IP Protection Association released the 2023 list of provincial intellectual property demonstration enterprises on December 5.

Fifteen enterprises in Zhongshan made the list: Guangdong Dongsen New Materials Co, Fotopro (Guangdong) Image Industrial Co, Huasheng Furniture Group, Candor Electric Appliances Co, Guangdong Ellington Electronic Technology, Zhongshan Zifang Environmental Protection Technology Co, Licheng Detection & Certification Group, Yu Tung Engineering Co, Zhongshan Carefor Daily Necessities Co, Zhongshan Deli Sanitary Ware Co, Zhongshan Chuangyi Biochemical Engineering Co, Zhongshan Furi Printing Material Co, Zhongshan Joihey Co, Zhongshan Competent Automation Equipment Co and Zhongshan Tentop Fine Chemical Co.

In 2022, Zhongshan was recognized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration as a pilot city with strong IP protection. Zhongshan now possesses 43,328 patents, including 1,939 invention patents, up 25.42% year-on-year, and 11,003 valid invention patents.
