Xinhua on November 1 reported Carpigiani, an Italian company that settles in Zhongshan's Torch High-Tech Zone, for its pursuit of new productive force development through cross-border integration and innovation.

Carpigiani is one of the largest gelato equipment manufacturers in the world. In 2007, Carpigiani established its only Asian-Pacific factory in Zhongshan. Its gelato machines are primarily sold in the Asia-Pacific region and also exported to Europe, Brazil, and the United States.

"There are many types of cross-border collaboration. For example, the handcrafted gelato we produce with Moutai is very popular among consumers," said Zhang Mingfeng, marketing manager of Carpigiani China, adding that multiple gelato formulas developed in China have been included in the Italian headquarters' catalog.

Carpigiani not only wins the favor of consumers but also injects new vitality into China's gelato market with this innovative move. The gelatos combining Eastern and Western elements are gradually becoming new favorites in the market and leading the new trend of China's "tongue-tip economy".
