Construction on the liquid hydrogen technology research and test base, a key infrastructure project of Zhongshan Zhongshan Institute of Advanced Cryogenic Technology (ZIAC), started after the Spring Festival holiday. The total investment exceeds 100 million yuan.
The project that covers a land area of 33 mu (22,000 square meters) will carry out experimental research on liquid hydrogen core components as well as testing services for large liquid hydrogen energy storage applications and liquid hydrogen-related parts, based on China's first pilot 5TPD hydrogen liquefaction system.
Upon completion, the project will become the first experimental and testing base for civil-use liquid hydrogen in China. It will carry out research on key technology in hydrogen liquefaction and energy storage as well as on issues related to technical demonstration and scale application.
