The 2025 New Rice Variety and Technology Exhibition was held in Zhongshan Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Base in Minzhong subdistrict on July 10. Nearly 100 agricultural professionals and farmers gathered to exchange insights on cultivation practices and new rice varieties.

The event highlighted 26 high-performance rice varieties featuring traits like high yield, premium quality, disease resistance and climate resilience.

Advanced technologies were also demonstrated, including optimized planting density for yield enhancement, one-time fertilization, drone-based pest control, and centralized seedling cultivation.

Currently, Zhongshan's superior rice variety coverage exceeds 99%, with a 100% implementation rate of key technologies, driving robust growth in the city's grain industry.
