Mingyang Smart Energy Group, a global wind turbine leader, has announced a £1.5 billion (over ¥14.2 billion) investment to construct the UK's largest and first fully integrated wind turbine manufacturing base in Scotland.

This marks the company's first overseas wind power project exceeding ¥10 billion since its 2019 Shanghai Stock Exchange main board listing, signaling a strategic pivot from product exports to embedded industrial ecosystems, a substantive evolution in its globalization strategy.

With over 30 years of development in Zhongshan's Torch High-Tech Zone, Mingyang has long specialized in R&D and manufacturing of high-end new energy equipment.
