Zhongshan-based Mingyang Group has recently unveiled its new-generation medium-speed compact drive platform and the new Ocean X, the world's first 50MW ultra-large floating wind turbine. This launch signals a new chapter in commercial-scale deployment of floating offshore wind energy.

The new Ocean X introduces a "dual-head" design, integrating two 25MW generator units within a V-shaped tower frame.

Engineered for deep-sea zones beyond 40 meters depth, the turbine employs a floating foundation with enhanced typhoon resilience, providing a scalable solution for tapping deep-sea wind resources.
