Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery (ZIDD) completed the exclusive technology commercialization of its independently developed "next-generation HIV polypeptide nanovaccine" with a Guangdong-based pharmaceutical company.

By targeting the most conserved, least mutable regions on the HIV surface and leveraging nanotechnology to boost immune responses, the vaccine overcomes the poor immunogenicity that has long plagued traditional HIV vaccines, offering a new solution to AIDS prevention.
