It was 4pm on February 6. Bustle appeared in the cargo terminal of Zhongshan Port and Shipping Enterprises Group (ZSShipping) located in Zhongshan Port. 

On the 130-thousand-sqm large yard along the 1-km long shoreline, containers were well arranged while the 9 cranes were busy operating.

The unload peak of imported goods usually takes place on the morning, and the shipment peak of exported goods starts at 4pm every day, says Miss Li the Commercial Department Manager of ZSShipping Cargo Terminal.

As the Spring Festival is approaching, the container throughput of the port has ballooned since the beginning of February. Daily container quantity ranges from 1400 to 1600, 500 or 600 more than ordinary days. “The figure for this January increased at least 20% from last year. All ports subordinated to ZSShipping run good.” Miss Li adds.

Ship routes between Zhongshan Port and Hong Kong, Nansha Port, Shekou Terminals and etc have been opened. Goods “made in Zhongshan” will be delivered from Zhongshan Port to larger ones and transited to the world.
