The total import and export value of Zhongshan goods in the first two months of this year was 35.49 billion yuan. This figure represents no comparable change compared with the same period last year, according to Zhongshan Customs. The separate values of exports and imports were 27.97 billion yuan and 7.52 billion yuan, respectively.

From January to February, the exports and imports of products under the general trade category reached 17.78 billion yuan, while the export and import value of the processing trade reached 17.08 billion yuan.

The import and export value of foreign-invested enterprises increased 0.1% to 21.05 billion yuan, accounting for 60.6% of the total import and export value during the same period. Imports and exports of private enterprises rose 1.2% to 11.89 billion yuan, accounting for 33.5%. The import and export value of state-owned enterprises stood at 2.1 billion yuan, accounting for 5.9%.

Except the US and the ASEAN, Zhongshan's exports to other major markets continued to grow in the first two months. The city's export values to the EU, Hong Kong, and Japan rose 7.5%, 15%, and 2.5%, respectively. Lastly, thee figures represented a value of 5.9 billion yuan, 3.68 billion yuan and 1.53 billion yuan, respectively.
