Around 9:30 on May 27, a batch of containers loaded with imported printer toner cartridges arrived at Zhongshan Sinotrans. After receiving the customs release order, the containers were hoisted from the ship to the trailer. After 20 minutes, the printer toner cartridges were successfully picked up from the dock.

"Direct Dock Pickup" means that imported goods, after being released by customs, can now be directly picked up from the ship at the dock by the consignees. This is another new measure taken by Gongbei Customs to save time and costs of import and export enterprises, improving the efficiency of customs clearance at the port and facilitating cross-border trade.

Correspondingly, outbound cargo now can also enjoy "Direct Loading Upon Arrival", under which containers of outbound goods can be declared in advance, and after entering the customs supervision area and receiving the customs release instructions, they can be loaded directly at the port.

According to reports, "Direct Dock Pickup" and "Direct Loading Upon Arrival" have greatly improved the logistics turnover speed of goods at the port, while cutting down storage, loading, and unloading costs.
