With the guidance of on-site customs officers in Huangpu Port of Zhongshan Port Customs, Zhejiang Hailiang Co Ltd successfully completed e-payment signing procedures for customs duties a few days ago. After signing the contract, the company can log in on its own to the one-stop online customs platform to pay customs duties.

"This year, more non-local enterprises have come to Huangpu Port to handle import and export business, so business volume has also increased compared with the same period last year," said Wu Zicong, deputy general manager of Huangpu Port Cargo and Container Terminal Co Ltd in Zhongshan.

Affected by COVID-19, the opening time of Huangpu Port was delayed until 20 days after the Spring Festival. To support the development of the port area, Zhongshan Port Customs, according to needs of Huangpu Port, launched a series of combined policies, including on site assembly for bulk cargo bulk and shared berths for domestic and foreign goods.

Hailiang Alltop Tube (Guangdong) Co Ltd is an enterprise that returned to Huangpu Port to clear customs this year. "A few years ago, we needed to clear customs in surrounding cities. But now it can be done 'at home', so we come back," said a customs specialist of Hailiang.

According to the statistics provided by Huangpu Port, from January to June, the import and export freight volume in the Port was 54,300 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 48.16%.
