In the first quarter of 2021, Zhongshan's import and export revenue totaled 58.85 billion yuan, an increase of 46.8% over the same period last year. The export revenue reached 48.04 billion yuan, an increase of 53.1%, and the import revenue reached 10.81 billion yuan, an increase of 24.2%.

During this period, the general trade import and export revenue increased by 54%, reaching 35.35 billion yuan and accounting for 60.1% of Zhongshan's total imports and exports.

The import and export revenue of foreign-invested enterprises increased by 36.5%, reaching 30.81 billion yuan and accounting for 52.4% of the total.

In the first quarter, Zhongshan's top 5 trade partners included the US, EU, ASEAN, China's Hong Kong and Japan.

Zhongshan exported 37.48 billion yuan worth of mechanical and electrical products, with an increase of 59.5% from last year and accounting for 78% of Zhongshan's total export value.

In March, Zhongshan's import and export value stood at 20.78 billion yuan, with an increase of 29.8%. The export value reached 16.57 billion yuan, with an increase of 31.2%, and the import value was 4.21 billion yuan, with an increase of 24.3%.
