Guangdong Homa Refrigerator Co Ltd independently issued the first China-Switzerland Declaration of Origin in Zhongshan days before, which was also the first such declaration under the jurisdiction of Gongbei Customs.

With the declaration of origin noted on commercial documents such as invoices or packing lists, this batch of refrigerators worth about 652,000 yuan exported to Switzerland can be cleared through Switzerland customs without any C/O by the customs department, CCPIT, or other visa agencies, and can enjoy tariff concessions of nearly 32,600 yuan.

"For our company, the customs clearance process will be more convenient, efficient and cost saving." Feng Changjiang, customs declarer of the company, said that Homa is also preparing for the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

On March 22, the Ministry of Commerce announced that China has made progress in ratifying the RCEP and is actively promoting its implementation starting January 1, 2022.

"Homa Refrigerator exports more than 60 million yuan of goods to Switzerland every year. Our fastest-growing markets such as Japan, the Philippines and Thailand are also members of the RCEP, with annual exports exceeding 850 million yuan." Feng said.

According to Homa Refrigerator, the value of refrigerators exported to Switzerland in the first quarter stood at 22.124 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 193%, while 298 million yuan in total was valued for exports to RCEP member countries, a year-on-year increase of 44%.
