Starting July 1, the General Administration of Customs has added ASEAN-China Free Trade Area Preferential Tariff Certificate of Origin Form E for exports to Thailand and the China-Mauritius Free Trade Area Preferential Tariff Certificate of Origin Form MU as self-service printing certificates in addition to the original 16 self-service printing certificates of origin.

Zhongshan Customs issued the first self-service printed Form E for exports to Thailand on July 1, involving a batch of air conditioners and accessories worth about 1.5 million yuan.

With this certificate, TCL Air Conditioner (Zhongshan) Co Ltd can enjoy about 231,000 yuan in preferential tariffs from Thai Customs.

Thailand is an important trading partner of Zhongshan in the ASEAN. Since the self-service printing service of C/O was made available, more than half of forms issued by Zhongshan have been self-printed, covering exports to Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.

From January to May, Zhongshan Customs has issued a total of 10,218 copies of ASEAN C/Os with a value of 3.45 billion yuan, up 23.9% and 57.6% respectively from last year. Zhongshan export enterprises have experienced preferential tariff reductions of about 280 million yuan from ASEAN countries.
