It has been 2 years since the revised China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement came into effect. During the past two years, Zhongshan Customs has issued nearly 50,000 new China-ASEAN certificates of origin (C/O) with export value exceeding 15 billion yuan, up about 12% and 27% year-on-year, respectively.
Junsheng Lighting (Zhongshan) Co Ltd is a lighting enterprise in Zhongshan with an established market in Korea and Europe. At the beginning of this year, the enterprise obtained its first revised China-ASEAN C/O. "The China-ASEAN preferential C/O has given us more opportunities to tap the ASEAN marketn," said Miss Liu, Junsheng Lighting's business manager.
In addition, since July 1, 2021, the C/O for exports to Thailand became the third C/O which can be self-printed after Indonesia and Singapore under the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement. Now, over 50% of China-ASEAN certificates of origin issued by Zhongshan Customs can be self-printed by enterprises.
