The Zhongshan Customs announced on October 15 that in the first 3 quarters of 2021, Zhongshan's total import and export value reached 194.83 billion yuan, up 22.5% over the same period of last year and 7.3% over the same period of 2019, with an average annual increase of 3.6% over the last two years.

The value of exports reached 160.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.7%, and up 9.3% over the same period of 2019, with an average increase of 4.6% over the last two years. The total import value reached 34.32 billion yuan, up 16.9% from 2020 and down 1.1% from the same period in 2019, with an average decrease of 0.6% over the last two years.

In September, Zhongshan's import and export value totaled 28.12 billion yuan, an increase of 37.8% from the previous year, of which the export value reached 24.3 billion yuan, up 44.6%, and the import value amounted to 3.82 billion yuan, up 6.2%.

To further alleviate the burden on enterprises, this year, the Zhongshan Customs and the Zhongshan Port Customs formulated 22 measures to optimize the business environment and promote cross-border trade. The Zhongshan Customs has also promoted Certificate of Origin (C/O) self-service printing in various towns and districts, and issued tens of thousands of C/Os for export commodities to help export enterprises receive tax breaks from importing countries.
