By the end of September, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) had been in effect for three quarters. According to Zhongshan Customs, nearly 1,900 preference certificates of origin have been issued as part of the RCEP policy for 110 enterprises in Zhongshan, involving a total goods value of more than 660 million yuan.

The implementation of the RCEP has opened up a broader export consumer market. Zhongshan Crown Leather Products Co Ltd is a time-honored leather luggage producer as well as one of the direct beneficiares of RCEP. "Since the beginning of this year, we have exported more than 20 million yuan worth of goods with RCEP certificates of origin issued by customs," said Wang Zifu, customs business chief of the company.

In the first nine months of this year, Zhongshan Customs has issued 326 RCEP certificates of origin for exports to Japan to leather product manufacturers, involving a goods value of more than 34 million yuan.
