A business charter jet carrying 24 enterprise representatives from Zhongshan, organized by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on the evening of November 5. The representatives just returned from the Malaysia-China Trade Expo 2022, through which they not only secured orders to broaden their markets, but also enhanced their brand influence.
This is the first "Cantontrades" business charter flight organized by Guangdong since the outbreak of COVID-19. The trip aims to help enterprises expand markets, seize dividends from the RECP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) agreement, and sell Zhongshan-made products to the world.
As one of the top 10 projects related to Guangdong's high-quality trade development, "Cantontrades" is launched to promote small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises' products to the world and boost the engagement of Guangdong goods and services in dual-circulation.
Won Tech, a company that has operated in the lighting industry for 27 years, mainly produces low carbon, health-related, eye protection, energy storage and solar energy products. With 80% of its sales domestic and 20% overseas , the company will focus on developing the overseas markets in the future.
"'Cantontrades' will help enterprises develop the overseas markets in the future," said Won Tech chairwoman Zhan Caihong. "We expect to sell more of our high-quality products to countries along the Belt and Road as well as the rest of the world through overseas exhibitions."
In the first three quarters of this year, Zhongshan's total import and export value reached 218.79 billion yuan, up 12.3% year on year. The Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce will utilize such platforms as "Cantontrades", Canton Fair, China International Import Expo and China International Service Trade Fair to encourage enterprises to get more orders.
