The maiden voyage of the direct shipping route between Shenwan Port and Yantian Port was held on November 9. The barge "Shitai 329" set off for the route's maiden voyage and departed Shenwan Port for Yantian Port at 11:08 am that day.

The direct route will shorten the time required to ship goods imported and exported from Shenwan Port via Yantian Port by one or two days, improving logistics efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing the market competitiveness of Shenwan Port.

This is another same-ship container shipping route for domestic and foreign trade of Shenwan Port, following the Shenwan Port-Shenzhen West port area shipping route available in 2019.

The new route marks the completion of a barge shipping route network connecting Shenwan Port with 4 major port areas in the Pearl River Delta, including Guangzhou Nansha, Hong Kong, Shenzhen West and Yantian.
