A cargo ship loaded with Zhongshan specialty products, such as lighting fixtures, metal products and electromechanical parts, departed from the Zhongshan Port freight terminal on November 18.
As of mid-November this year, Zhongshan Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station had inspected and released over 5,800 ships with 36,000 crew members, saving about 7,000 hours of waiting time for enterprises, handling procedures for 70 ships that needed maintenance, and helping enterprises generate a total production value of 50 billion yuan.
Since the beginning of this year, Zhongshan Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station has strictly implemented facilitation measures for the entry and exit ships, including 24-hour inspection and a "zero delay" policy, to continuously optimize the port business environment and stimulate the market. The number of ships entering and exiting via Zhongshan Port, Huangpu Port and Shenwan Port and the cargo throughput of these ports both increased this year.
In the first three quarters of this year, the total value of goods imported and exported under the service of Zhongshan Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection Station stood at 218.79 billion yuan, up 12.3% year on year.
