Supervised by Zhongshan Port Customs, Zhongshan Donlim Weili Electrical Appliances Co Ltd (Donlim Weili) completed clearance formalities for 985 microwave ovens at the export terminal of Zhongshan Port on November 28. These products will be shipped by barge to Shenzhen's Shekou Port under the "GBA combined ports" mode, and then be directly reloaded to a foreign-going ship and exported to Argentina.

Since the opening of the first combined ports shipping route that connects Zhongshan Port and Shekou Port in November 2021, Zhongshan has launched a total of 4 such shipping routes, connecting Shenzhen's Shekou Port and Yantian Port with Zhongshan's Zhongshan Port, Xiaolan Port and Huangpu Port, with a total import and export throughput of more than 13,000 TEUs.

"The combined ports mode saves us 3 to 5 days to transfer goods to Shenzhen for export, as well as the cost of manifest data entry incurred by repeated Customs applications," said He Weilin, customs clearance manager of Donlim Weili.

Under the combined ports mode, enterprises only need to finish one Customs application and one inspection at Zhongshan Port for their goods that will be reloaded and exported to other countries and regions through Shekou, Yantian and other ports.
