"Over the past year since the opening of the drug import port, Zhongshan's customs clearance efficiency has been greatly improved, and the transport and operation costs of enterprises have been reduced," said Zhou Baishui, general manager of Guangdong Landu Pharmaceutical Co Ltd on May 17.

Over the past year, Zhongshan's drug import port has provided drug import filing and customs clearance services to 14 enterprises from four provinces, covering 13 varieties and 288 batches with a total import volume of 1,570 tons and a total value of 139.68 million yuan, according to data released by the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation.

It is reported that Zhongshan Port has become Guangdong's first drug import port that operates on a 24/7 basis.
